Barça Set to Play Historic Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Bilbao team in domestic competition over two years since relocating for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside based on approved permits. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held a public practice inside the stadium earlier this month. The club said they were hoping for permission by UEFA to host the next European match versus the German side next month in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
